The cost of housing in Barcelona increased by 5.1%

In the first quarter of 2018, the value of existing housing increased by 21.3% in Madrid and 5.1% in Barcelona.

In the most expensive areas of Spain: Sarrià Sant Gervasi, Les Corts and Eixample in Barcelona, ​​as well as Salamanca and Chamberi in Madrid, the cost per square meter is more than 5 thousand euros.

The national average cost per square meter in the secondary market in the first quarter of 2018 was 1,621 euros.

In Madrid, it rose to 3,540 euros, which is 7.8% higher than in the new quarter. Barcelona, ​​in turn, continues to be the most expensive city in Spain for this indicator. A square meter in the Catalan capital costs an average of 4,334 euros.

The highest average cost of housing was recorded in the metropolitan area of ​​Salamanca – 5,675 euros / m2. In second place is Sarrià-Sant Gervasi in Barcelona – 5,231 euros / m2.

In the other elite districts of Barcelona, ​​Les Corts and Eixample, the average cost per square meter is 5,096 and 5,053 euros, respectively. For the first time, the Chamberi district of Madrid has surpassed the bar of 5 thousand euros per square meter.
